Surgery went well but was really rough on me.. turns out I shattered the top of the tibia into 8 pieces... dont ask me why that didnt show up on CT scan. However, ACL is fine, and now reinforced with surgical nylon! Haha! I woke up screaming yesterday in so much pain it was unbelievable. I felt like someone had sawed off my leg below the knee.
Anyway they fixed it all up. Drilled 2 holes in the tibia, stitched up torn meniscus, collected and re-fit those 8 or 9 pieces of bone, stitched them back to the top of the tibia. Bet the bone looks like a cobblestone street right now.
I'm on all the drugs right now but at least I can read and write and remember things today.
Thanks everyone for your well wishes. I'm looking at 6-8 weeks for walking normally and 4-6 months for full recovery/riding.
