Less gear changes I definitely agree upon
I really like the new 650s and would be all over one if I had the money...unfortunately when I do decide that, the 250 will go due to lack of space But that wont be for a while.

If your husband has a 600 though, it might be easier to stay with him on a 650. The 250 has plenty of power to stay with someone riding a 600 (sanely) IF your in the right gear. The 650 should have enough power to be in 5th at 40mph and just GO when needed, where as the 250 you would need to downshift. I think that fact alone would make ridding with him a little easier.
