Tom Hardy Rides Ducati Scrambler in New Venom

The anti-hero rides on the latest Ducati model

Ducati and Hollywood have quite the love story going on. Box office success Mission: Impossible Fallout features a spectacular chase involving Tom Cruise and an R nineT Scrambler. Superman actor Henry Cavill recently shared his love of riding on his new xDiavel while on a photo shoot with a Multistrada. Now, resident Hollywood bad boy Tom Hardy who played Bane in the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy and Mad Max in Mad Max: Fury Road gets back into action in the latest installment of the Marvel movies whirlwind.

Eddi Brock is a journalist who ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or is it the right place at the right time? He ends up infected by Venom, an alien symbiote who chooses him as a host, giving him superpowers in the process. Not too bad a deal! Though we are more familiar with Venom infecting Spider-Man, the creepy-looking character gets his own spin-off for the new movie.

Now we already know that Hardy is a rider at heart, sharing pictures with his silver Triumph Thruxton on social media. However, for the movie, Hardy trades is cafe racer for a scrambler and not any scrambler: Ducati's all-new Scrambler 1100.

In the trailer, the motorcycle makes several appearances as Eddi Brock's favored ride to go about his business or to run away from bad guys. So far we've only really seen shadows and silhouettes of the bike, but a few styling cues have allowed some amateur detectives to identify the bike. The round headlight with the x-shape feature are probably the biggest giveaways.

The new Marvel movie Venom*is coming to theaters on October 5, 2018.
