It's good to hear of your progress, Chloe. I don't recommend Plastidip. My 250 had it when I bought it, and it quickly started peeling off in places like where my legs contacted the tank. On top of that, gasoline quickly dissolves it, so any spill on the tank will mess it up badly.
I would use a decent spray paint, and if you want a durable clear coat over that, use Spraymax 2K .
