Is this a mechanical turn signal relay?
2010 Ninja 250r in Canada. Recently bought this bike. PO installed LED turn signals in the front, still has OEM turn signals in back (with incandescent bulbs). I had the back fairings off yesterday and had a look at the turn signal relay. It is marked, "C.L. FLASHER FL249SD". I looked it up on the internet but I could not establish if this is mechanical type relay or an electronic one suitable for LED turn signals. Having only installed LED turn signals on the front, the PO did not have to replace the turn signal relay so I can't be sure if this the original relay or an aftermarket electronic one. I suspect this is a mechanical relay.
I'd like to know for sure in case I decide to replace the rear turn signals with LED's at some point. If the relay is mechanical, I'll have to replace it with an electronic one when I install LED's in the rear.
