Hayabusa/gsxr front end swap

Hey guys so after many years of brutal winter hack service my little ninjette is being retired and replaced by a dual sport.

But gonna try and save her brought it into the kitchen and am currently stripping it down to the frame to have it cleaned up and powder coated.

It's going to be naked but the forks look tiny. Based on some posts on here it seems like a gsxr or hyabusa front end is esentially a drop in replacement?

Idid it with a gsxr front end. All gsxrs use the same steerer tube. All I had to do was swap the lower bearing race. Your fairings won't fit...gotta go naked or go race glass or something.

Sadly all the threads are too old to have pics, or posters are long since gone.

Can anyone confirm this?

I know for other swaps you would need the steering stem welding/cutting and pressing into a new yolk?

All balls bearings gives me a set of conversion bearings so pretty sure it's doable but I'm concerned about stem length as this post mentions it

front forks using all Gixxers, triple is gixxers as well and the top stem used the original 250 and swapped it to the gixxer, was a bit short but enough to get it locked.
Any one still running one of these set ups or remembers stem length measurements?

Bike is going to be a bit of a cafe racer/flattracker look in the end so fairings won't be an issue.

If anyone is still insomuch with blong and could ask him too that would be ace sent him a pm but its been years since he was on the site it seems
