Have you ridden it at all or are you just starting it and listening to it in the garage?
If the fuel bowls are drained and had relatively clean gas in them anyway, the bike starts OK, and it was running fine when you parked it, I'd give it a onceover for all the typical pre-ride checks (oil, air pressure, perhaps critical bolts), and go take it for at least a 20 mile ride and see how it's behaving at the end of it. You may be chasing a non-problem, and just getting everything up to operating temperature might be all it really needs.
