That's what I was thinking as well.
Look for a totalled bike that rear-ended something and use the rear section. I would want to make measurements off of a non-damaged Ninja for reference. I'd also make "plugs" to put inside the tubes at the joints and bevel the joints before welding. You may need a pro to do the welding if you are not set-up to do it.
Just another case where a decent bike was hacked-up for a Bobber or Cafe Racer I would expect. Apparently no bike is safe...
