Anyway, as a pseudo-response to what alex.s posted up there, gixxer engines are absolutely bulletproof.
Suzuki's been building crotch rocket gixxers since the 80's...they definitely know what they're doing. The engine in my water buffalo is rock solid, even after 19 years of God only knows what kind of treatment.
