When I bought my track bike, there was oil in the belly pan. I traced this to the airbox where the factory breather goes. In our club, we have to block the airbox drain. However, this owner had not drained the oil out of the airbox for quite some time and it was starting to leak from the air box seam.
I wouldn't worry about this too much, especially since you have over filled it.

Just curious how it got from the breather forward to the front right side of the engine. I would think the airflow would blow it backward.
