Well if you ever need to clear your sinuses ammonia is the trick!!

Anyhow... There are two or three ways this can all go south. Breaking parts loosing parts and damage to the parts. I was going along fine when all the sudden I broke the very fragile escape wheel pinion. A tiny point of metal that slipped out of the bearing. I pushed the top plate down and had the gears spinning freely. But when I tightened the screw. Snap!!
18 bucks and a week befor I go again.

I did manage to clean all the parts and oil some. I’ll talk about oil later. But this is kinda normal for an amature.
