Since my painting didn't work out so well the other day, and this transformation will not be perfect, I took another look at my spares - with a less critical eye. I found the complete tail section, in black, that I can use. I used a heat gun to remove the decals, and all parts need a good scrub. My only issue is the adhesive residue - I can't remove it. I tried gasoline ( which always works for me ), Goo-Gone ( soaked overnight ). I guess I'll try WD-40. I don't want to mar the plastic parts, as I don't plan to paint these. Any thoughts? Also, any tips on removing caked on tree sap?
