I don't think he was asking anyone's opinions on the exhaust or whether or not to put it on or if it will make him safer. its his bike and if he likes the sound and "feels" safer and gives him more confidence riding, then that's all that matters. he just wants to know if he should put the exhaust on now and shim, or wait a few hundred more miles and install the exhaust and shim. I don't see how installing an exhaust and shim would be a problem at that mileage.
