But the clutch lever that was on my 2005 when I got it is completely different. It has a knob to adjust the lever position. The brake lever I have looks original and has a tab hanging down to push the brake light switch. The parts drawing shows a tab on the clutch lever hanging down similarly, but if you turn the brake lever upside down to use it for a clutch lever the tab will stick up.

I don't know what's going on.

Jim for Kawasaki the first 5 digits represent a group, not the whole part number. Check the second - 4 digit block. Those 4 digits are different in the links you posted. 5-4 is the whole part number and they are not the same for those levers. Your lever looks like mine on ZZR so it might have been upgraded for adjustability
