I have stock exhaust and mufflers on the bike, a lot of the sound comes back through the the carb and K&N Filter. It's crazy how much louder the bike gets when you delete the air box, jet the carb, and install a Pod Air Filter. It's really nothing over the top obnoxious though, people just hate anything loud now days.
