On my old CRF450 I had replaceable puck sliders on the axles. They had the main aluminum assemblies and the delrin inserts. I bought the inserts in a six pack and they were easily replaceable. Up on the handlebars it was just a protective Moose racing metal bar. That thing was the most crashable bike there ever was. I could pretty much lay it down and laugh about it.
