Does it do this on the road when you are riding, or in the garage when idling?
I'd look at the gas like JR suggested. If there is any question, drain the tank and floatbowls completely. Catch the gas from the floatbowls and look for water or debris.
Check the tank for rust.
Check the inline filter at the carb inlet for debris.
Check the air filter and be sure the snorkel is clear.
Are the idle mixture screws at 2.5 turns out?
Set the idle speed to 1300 when fully warm.
