I don't know about that.
In USA/Canada, people like big engines. The vast majority of people will get bored of mere 250cc engine in 1-2 weeks.
KTM RC390 is RC125 with big engine. Yamaha R3 is R25/R15/R125 overseas.
Same as CBR300R, which is 250.
When Suzuki introduced GSXR250 couple months ago in USA/Canada, the first complaints were "what was Suzuki thinking? How are they gonna compete with 300cc motorcycles?"
