There is a piece you have to cut\grind off on the 400 for the larger newer generation R6 throttle tube to fit.
I got the newer generation R6 throttle tube for the 250. I had to cut part of the plastic guide for the throttle wire for it too fit.
OOPPPSS.....just remembered, I did ride the 250 with the newer R6 throttle mod, me likey for sure!
Haven’t had a chance to ride either bike with the newer generation R6 throttle mod, both bikes had the older 2003-2005 R6 throttle tube. I did like the old R6 throttle mod, so I am sure I will like the newer R6 throttle mod even better with the shorter throw!
