It's not that strange at all. Noticed what the OP said and did not say.
"...today it was 17 c out" (which it was warmer weather in his location than what it had been prior)
"....well ive noticed that some times when bike is warm and its left for 30 mins or so when i restart it oil light stays ON till i rev it up a bit" (A low idle speed at start up can cause the light to stay on until proper rpm speed is reached. A second or two for the light to go out is normal)
OP makes no mention of use of choke at start up or any other incidences when the bike is running (light flickering, overheating) just
some times when noticed there appears to be an issue.
