I get that a lot, and I guess anyone is lucky to survive the first few months on a motorcycle, but I knew what the bike could do, and had plenty of respect for the twist-grip. Its weight was about the same as the Honda 500 four my cousin had, so it was not a difficult motorcycle to handle, and being 6'2" helped too. I passed my license test on it. It has quite a tight turning radius, so I could easily do the figure-8 part of the test. I had practiced doing 8s on the street in front of my house, with the 8 perpendicular to the street.
