2023 Mugello MotoGP P1 Results: Alex Marquez Pips Fabio Quartararo And Brad Binder

Alex Marquez has topped the first session of practice for the MotoGP class at Mugello. The Gresini Ducati rider just nipped ahead of Fabio Quartararo on the Yamaha in the final moments, while Brad Binder made it three different manufacturers in the top three on the KTM.
There was more than the usual rush to set a fast lap at the end of the session, riders not willing to risk the weather turning in FP2, though not everyone put in soft tires. Pecco Bagnaia, who finished the session in 16th, stuck with used tires and concentrated on race pace.
