!!! We started a fund to help Jon's family.
http://jonbroom.com/getwelljon/

8:00am - Jon is still stable. He is still posturing due to the brain injury, but no major changes. His eyes are still closed and he is breathing at an average level of 2 over the trach tube ventilator (you and I breathe at a 21). The physical therapists are scheduled to come in at 10:00am to perform tests.

9:10am - The doctor just talked with his mother Lori and grandmother Amy. He said Jon's neck is definitely broken and they will have to perform surgery within the next 4-6 weeks. He said "this is not going to be short-term". Meaning, Jon will have long term effects whatever they may be and that it will be a long journey to therapeutic recovery. Keep in mind, that many doctors can say one thing and the patient comes out another way. All comas are unique and individualistic. Results can come out either way.

UPDATE: 11: 15 a.m.- Jon's doctors have put in an order to get him transferred to Lifecare Plano today. Lori has just signed the initial paperwork to begin this transfer. The doctors think Jon's lungs look healthy enough now to successfully move him. With that being said, visitation may be cut short today. If you were planning on visiting today, you may want to hold off until more information is provided. Thank you all for your continued support. I have posted a link below for Lifecare Plano so that you can also learn about Jon's next step in his journey.
