You may find, as many have, that louder is not necessarily better. Louder is just louder.

Overly loud exhausts can be obnoxious, fatiguing and headache-inducing not just for the people you inflict them upon, but for you too. And make no mistake... the 250 can be LOUD.

What matters more IMHO is the character of the sound. When I had a ninjette, it was fitted with an AreaP Quiet Core exhaust (i.e. the long muffler). It sounded FANTASTIC. Louder than stock but in no way rude, and the tone was deep, rich and resonant.

Not trying to talk you out of getting the GP exhaust of your dreams, just giving you a heads-up that it might not be what you hope for.

Re jetting... do a search. There are lots of threads here, including a jetting database.
I agree with you. I bought my Ninja this past March and cleaned-up the stock pipes. Evapo-Rust and Mothers Car wax - they look darn good. Then I saw some Yoshimuras on sale. Pricey but I bought them because they are all stainless. I'm keeping my stock pipes but I love the Yoshimuras deep 500 like sound. A-little louder but not obnoxious.
