Okay, so I’m had a gas cap that was frozen and wouldn’t open. I used plastic pry’s for over an hour, and I finally opened it. I replaced it with a new one but with a different key. The cap does not sit flush to the tank. I’ve tried taking out all bolts on the cap and tried to level it while tightening the bolts. One side sticks up about 2 or 3 millimeters, the opposite side is flush. Is there any trick to seating the entire gas cap so all of it is flush?
