Maybe you're just unlucky and everyone doesn't notice your wave? I know I've missed a couple waves because I was looking at something else as I drove by and I'm sure that happens to other riders.
I love seeing the different waves/salutations people have. I've barely ever seen the two wheels down/ downwards peace sign in Austin.
