MSF 101: Helmet, gloves, sitting on the bike. Start 'er up.
Me: Helmet, gloves, "oh I'll just warm 'er up while I'm doing my safety check.
"Whoa. It was in first gear. I'm gonna drop ... oh. d%$#!"
Yes. MSF 101. Sometimes the universe tells you when not to ride. Had all the right reasons to go out. PSIs low, go get some air in the tires, change the shield it's getting dark, and then blam! Dropped it right in the driveway. Couldn't pick it up. Tried all those YouTube videos for how to pick up your dropped sport bike. Couldn't get it. Had to call somebody for help. Picked it up, I think the clutch spun a bit because it felt like a stretch to when I was checking it out. I guess I'll see in the light tomorrow what the damage is, probably just a few scratches.
What is the correct safety protocol after something like that? Just check that parts aren't falling off and such?
Arrrghhh... can't believe I did that!
