The Cortech DMX Denim pants have a full leather seat sewn in and removable CE-approved armor in the knees. That's going to protect you a lot more than a couple of layers of plain denim. If I'm wearing regular jeans I at least wear a pair of EMS knee guards over them to beef up the protection. More people need to protect their knees as that is often the first thing to hit the ground, causes the longest rehabilitation if injured and is the most overlooked part of a rider's body when gearing up.
