The front sprocket should have a toothed washer that the edges fold up around the nut. Pain to use since it gets "folded" and has to be frequently replaced, but locks the sprocket nut down. I've seen a lot of track bikes that quit using this style washer or just don't fold it, but I still do for peace of mind.
