One must keep in mind that gear it down, decreasing the final gear ratio, that small displacement engines love and need to rev to work effectively, so if you go too far, be ready for that.
I know that when I had my FJ1100 GOING to +1/-2 was no big deal, and I could hardly feel the performance difference, but on the 250 I can feel it for sure.
