I use black boot polish on my leather jacket, it just conditions the leather and keeps it supple, leather being a fibre that needs to remain somewhat "moisturised" else it dries and cracks and breaks when flexed, keep it conditioned and it'll remain supple and good.
My helmet I don't bother with, I just clean my visor with a dilute dish soap spray.
Boots, I use boot polish.
Gloves need washing weekly being waterproof and well lined that pen and ink after a while.
