Thank goodness for ATGATT - I survived my fall with a separated shoulder, but would've been in pretty bad shape without the gear - my boot was worn through, my glove was worn through, my cordura riding pants wore down to the armor, same for a sleeve and the side of the jacket. Wore my front brake lever down an inch like a grinding wheel.

Sounds like you had an ankle problem, but were lucky overall. Hope you stay that way.
