Do you know how old your cap is? Maybe SSR changed the material now?

no cap was on only about 24 hours. at first they tried to blame me but i jeep up the pressure and they admitted it had happened b4. naturally i got a free gasket and grease and never had a problem but after reading your woes , i went back stock.
