Quality of lead-acid batteries have been going downhill. Manufacturers just don't care about creating quality product for end-of-life technologies. I've had plenty of OEM Yuasa batteries last 10-yrs. Then after they started working only for 2-3 yrs, I went to lithium and never looked back! One on my VFR is going on 10-yrs now without any issues and should work for another 10-yrs.

Nice and fully-charged even after sitting for 4-months of winter (not on tender):



Starts right up on 1st crank and doesn't drop too much voltage while spinning engine.



I've gone through at least 6 batteries with this bike and lithium's been best yet!
