I have owned VWs, a Volvo 460, a Mitsubishi Space Wagon, an Opel Vectra
1.6 a 1995 Corolla and 2 Toyota Camrys.
4 or 5 engines blew up on the Opel, in about 130 000 miles / 206 000 km.
It was a lemon of astronomical proportions.

These days my wife and I have the 1995 Corolla with about 322 000 kms on the meter (or 200 000 miles). The Camry (2000 model) has a 4-cylinder 2.2 litre engine, and has about 447 000 kms / 280 000 miles.
The roads around here, close to Trondheim in Norway, are heavily salted, and the Trondheim fjord is close. The climate will probably cause the cars rust more or less to pieces before the engines give up their life..
I will probably stick to Toyotas for the rest of my life, since they have been so increadibly more reliable than my other, previous cars.

The only motorized vehicle I have ever bought new, is my Ninja 250, below.
