Whoops, forgot there's already 100mm spacer in fork. So you may not need to shorten spring very much to stiffen it up. Perhaps start with just 50mm chop and make up difference by replacing stock 100mm spacer AND your chopped amount with PVC. So make 150-160mm spacer. Similar to what Maverick's done here:
