Yes, sprocket holder is separated from hub by rubber cush drive pieces. Make sure spacer in between is in place.

Take chain off and inspect front sprocket closely. Remove sprocket and look at groove in output shaft. Insert sprocket-plate into groove, there should be very little play. Either your output shaft is damaged, sprocket plate is damaged or both.
