Is that +2 on the countershaft?
I have a +1 countershaf with the stock rear sprocket. Just did 400 mi at right about 80 MPH and got 50 MPG. IIRC, it's now 6000 RPMs at an indicated 80 (actual is about 3 MPH less at that speed).
Mine is a '06 naked, single plug, F.I., 70-series front tire (helps correct the speedo), slightly taller bars, slip-on muffler, 87 octane - no ethanol.
On the last tank I couldn't get 87, so I ran Preminum no ethanol (which I never do). Got about 10% worse mileage. That's the only time it's been under 50. I don't think there were any other major variables like wind or speed that could have affected it that much.
