Huh? I just installed pulled 30mm carbs from my new-gen. Slides are definitely metal.

Also I'm with HoneyBadger on this one. Same incomplete experiment as the entire jetting-DB with absolutely zero before & after comparisons. Vast majority of people have dirty clogged carbs, thus need to send them to ducatiman for refurbishing. Of course, they'll run better afterwards. The improvement is in the thorough cleaning, not in actual larger bore of carbs.

Besides, majority of restriction is in head anyway. You gotta do some porting clean-up to get more flow through. Then perhaps larger carbs may improve power.
