Jay;
I know you've got track fairings on that 250. IIRC you haven't painted them.
I've scored a set of new/used (never installed) bodywork. While waiting for it to get here I've been experimenting with "paint" on a spare piece of fairing. Actually, spray Plastidip (available at Lowe's or
http://www.dipyourcar.com), because it's very forgiving, needs almost zero prep and can be peeled off if the results are awful.
They're not, in fact, awful. It looks pretty sharp. I made a few mistakes in masking and managed to fumble handling of the part, so there are some marks... lessons learned, which is the point.
I'm definitely going this route. Hopefully the pieces will get here in time.
This stuff leaves a semi-matte finish. There's a "glossifier" which I'm going to try once it cures to see what that does. Probably not needed... this looks good enough for the track to my eye.
The part you see here was matte dark blue. Coverage is really good. Just like regular paint, the key is multiple light coats.
