Comparisons with ninja 250 (interestingly, both sites have different stats):

Lighter weight : 356 lb or 364 with optional ABS (nice feature)
Same fork diameter (37 mm)
Fuel injected
13 liter tank = a little under 3.5 gallons
64 or 76 mpg depending on the site you look at
110 front and 140 rear (also 17 in wheels)
30.7 in seat height so an inch higher
Single cylinder vs two cylinder
26 hp and 17 lb-ft max torque (slightly less hp with slightly more torque)

It'll be interesting to see how it fares, but competition is always good to keep manufacturers competitive and honest especially with pricing.
