Here's comparison of needles:

#2 is 88-07 pre-gen needle

#3 is 08-12 new-gen needle, it has thicker tip for less flow compared to pre-gen since it's tuned for more mid-range and less high-end

#4 is DynoJet stg-2 new-gen needle takes this difference further with even thicker tip to lean out high-end mixtures even more.
