Day 4: Aug 29th
Worked on the bike for about 4hrs today. Not much going on visually, but some major steps. I found out the safety wire I bought is one gauge too small for tech
. So I'm using it for practice and if I have time, I might use it to wire up some low-torque things that aren't really required. I also got a message today that my Supertrapp is in the mail.
- Glycol-based antifreeze flushed (this took the majority of the time).
- Water wetter in.
- Drilled drain plugs and cap for safety wire.
- Drilled the front caliper bolts and the oil cap for safety wire. The first one came out *really* nice for having been drilled freehand.
- Wired the handgrips in place.
Tomorrow I'm going to try to get the fork rebuild done. If I have time, I'll do the front brake clean up and pad replacement.
