I messed up a couple days ago while trying to mount the TTV (Trail Tech Vapor) I tried to drill through the ignition housing so I can just bolt down the TTV with the included mounts. Little did I know that as soon as I did that no power went through the bike at all I checked fuses and wiring to see if there were any kinks but to no avail. Then I removed the TTV mount only to find that I punctured straight into the load resistor/ignition switch that regulates all the power to the bike...
I am now in waiting to get my replacement ignition housing from some kind individual from Ebay only ($40)
all while trying to remove the security bolts from the original housing which was a PITA = more careful drilling and extracting bolts. now she's just sitting until the part arrives. All in all it was a lesson well learned for a bike newbie who's just getting into this world of motorcycles.
NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN
