new rear shock swap... perhaps i went a little too far?

Ok here is story in a nut shell

Did gsxr shock swap... it was ok, found out the hard way (or stupid way) i had no high speed compression dampening adjustments.

after i lost most of the oil out of the shock i ended up needing to get the gsxr shock serviced, local dealer wouldn't touch it because book states it is unserviceable and no specs for anything are given. Would have cost more to get it serviced than i paid for it

So i figured i could put oil in myself, but would still need nitrogen but would still have a shock i wasn't super crazy about so that is when ebay happened.

used aftermarket ohlins gsxr 1000 shock

think i got it for a decent price, otherwise well i would not have bought it.
Bought new spring for it because the one on it was a 10.6kg/mm

Figured it would swap on similar to gsxr 600 shock. It did... kind of
Needed to trim the battery box a good bit more, i need to clean that up a bit yet. I already had hugger so this is non issue, the hugger keeps everything in that area clean.

i also had to grind a little bit off the bottom of the upper shock mount on the frame I was in to deep to go back at that point. It is non issue IMO besides my bike is to much of a botch job at this point to consider selling it anyway, plus i never plan to either way. So yeah, took a little off the bottom, painted it up and GTG!

It is a little longer than the OEM shock so i went back to the stock dog bones (had shorter bones for gsxr600 swap) which means the rear will be up a little bit vs stock. I could make new ones or buy adjustable bones to get things back to stock spec if i feel like it in the end, but for right now will ride it as is.

Ok to the goodies

3 clicker Ohlins with hydraulic hand adjustable preload
Rebound, high and low speed compression dampening adjustments

Bolted everything up yesterday took it for a ride today and sought out some ****** bumpy roads...(didn't have to look very hard ) and first impressions are good. Purposefully seeking out the rougher line never felt so good. Felt good in the turns as well but wasn't able to push it to hard... these roads were **** to say the least.

here are some pixies

I don't think I'm a lot dumber than you thought that I think that I thought I was once.
