Hi, I just installed a koso d48 gp style rpm gauge to my eliminator 250, but the problem I'm having is it says the bike is 4k rpm at idle?

Its connected to the stator coil positive lead.

I have played round with the settings but nothing fixes it, does anyone have any experience with these gauges?
