Went riding Sunday enjoying the weather and decided to travel a road I'd not taken (SR620 in Catawba, VA). Turned up a couple interesting bridges, some great scenery, a section of Jefferson National Park I've been hearing about but never visited, a bunch of gravelly downhill asphalt and a LOT more dirt/gravel road than I'd planned on.
I thought about it... briefly

Believe it or not, there was a bridge here. Or rather there is (it's off to the right, I forgot to get a shot) but it's listed as "Private" and has a locked gate on it. So... I did my first river crossing on the ninjette. Turns out there's a bunch of ~2-4" rocks down in that water that made things interesting.

And a slight departure from the thread topic:
Here's Caldwell Fields, giving me a very much needed rest stop on about 18 miles of rough gravel road. Saw several groups of students on the roadside doing cleanup which made a great day even better.
