Not if you do the right things before you park it. Just starting it up occasionally isn't doing any good - it's actually doing harm.
To store it so it will start when you are ready to ride again you need to do a few things. Add a fuel stabilizer and fill the tank to the top. Drain the floatbowls. Remove the battery and charge it occasionally or use a tender.
If you want the best protection from internal rust and corrosion, change the oil and filter, then start it and run it for 30 seconds before draining the floatbowls. That circulates the fresh oil and protects against corrosion. Don't start it again until you are ready to ride.
