Pulled off the carb and reeds. Looks like it already has carbon reeds. The setting on the carb were a bit off from "standard" (full lean on the needle, lean main jet, and lean air screw setting). I'll richen the main and set the needle to the middle (recommended) position.

The 24mm Mikuni Flatside is pretty legit -



The custom offset manifold needs some work.




The round opening is only 19mm and the backside where it attached to the reed block looks like it wouldn't flow very well. There's room in the casting to open it up to 24mm and radius the backside for smoother flow.

Kinda silly to spend the money ($250+) for the carb and toss it on a manifold like that. Saw a receipt for the manifold - $9.95 back in 2001. Barely worth that like it is.
