The throttle cables must have adequate freeplay to allow full closure of the throttle plates. Fine tune the freeplays to enable acceptable "snapback". Obviously, avoid, adjust and correct any hanging up of the throttle.
Thank you guys for the responses. I'm going to try to adjust the throttle cables at the carb because that's what I feel like I had an issue with as I didn't remember how much they were tightened.
So I should adjust it so I have 1mm-2mm play on my throttle grip? Are there any other tips for adjusting it that I should be aware of?
